PAINTED COWL
I must have somehow read 10mm instead of size US 15, and cast on with #10 needles. No wonder this thing is so narrow for it's height! Combine that with my two strands worsted held doubled, instead of super bulky, and there's a real problem.
I knit roughly six inches of stockinette body instead of eight. Combined with the narrowness of the cowl, good call, because honestly, when I tried it on to make sure it fit over a human head, it felt like I was wearing a neck brace.
My fault, not the patterns. Read carefully and do gauge swatches! How many times have I learned this?
Would I make it again? If I had some cushy, fantastic, colorful yarn, yes. It showcases wonderfully. But the yarn has to be worth it for all of that circular stockinette!
Easy Chunky Cowl, #10 needle, unkown yardage, unknown red wool, unknown painted yarn.
An aside. I have the tiniest bit of that painted multi-ply yarn left. Huzzah! Just enough for some little gizmo. A flower or a bracelet, maybe? Hmm. We shall see.
